GRI Renewable Industries launches its new wind tower factory in South Africa
The project represents an investment of 20 million euros and generates over 200 jobs.
(October 31, 2014).- GRI Renewable Industries, wind industry division, opened its new wind tower factory in Atlantis, Cape Town, South Africa. The project provides employment to over 200 people, supplying the South African market with 150 wind towers annually. This project represents an investment of 20 million euros. (R 300M) The aim of this new GRI plant in South Africa is providing wind towers to the South African market, thus contributing to the rapid development of renewable energy in the country. According to Javier Imaz, CEO of GRI: “With this new plant, GRI consolidates its position in the South African market and thus be able to deploy and share know-how of the firm in the local market and job creation.”
